Tiger Team’s Can Drive
Tiger Team’s Can Drive
The Tiger team is collecting cans all year for St. Jude. Anyone can bring cans, they need to be rinsed, crushed and we prefer the tabs to be on the can. If a student is bringing in cans they can drop them off at my room before school. If a person has a large amount of cans they want to donate they can bring them to me (Before, after school, or between 8:30-9:00 a.m) or they can take them to Southern Recycling Plant. We have a running tab going in the name of “Drakes Creek”. At the end of the year we will present St. Jude with a check.

Drakes Creek STLP Going to State!
Drakes Drakes Creek Middle School STLP group attended the STLP Regional Showcase at Western Kentucky University on Friday, November 13, 2009. Almost 50 students out of our STLP program attended. All of our 3 showcases, 1 of our service projects, and one of our presenter teams will be representing Drakes Creek MIddle School at State in Lexington, KY on May 11th.
We are pleased to let you know of an upcoming annual event called "Give Kids
A Smile Day". It is a program where our school provides free dental screenings and
treatment for local area children without insurance, medical card, or any
other form of third party coverage. These children are often the ones who
fall through the cracks of dental care. We are hoping to make this year
another success!! We are asking for your help. Contact Dr. Stephen W. Robertson if you know of
any children that would meet the following criteria:
*Under the age of 18
*No dental coverage--not even medical card
*Willing to have dental work done
*Parents are able to be with them at the day of screening and treatment or
sign a consent form for the treatment
